Borisav Ristić

Borisav "Bora" Ristić (Kragujevac, 31 December 1883 – Belgrade, 30 October 1967) was a high-ranking officer of the Serbian Army and a Divisional General of the Royal Yugoslav Army. For a short time, he held the post of the Minister of the Army, Navy and Air Force in the Yugoslav government-in-exile, in the cabinet of Ivan Šubašić.
==Biography==
Ristić was born on 31 December 1883 in Kragujevac. His father's name was Mirko, his mother's name is not known. He joined the army in 1901, as a cadet of the 34th class of lower school of the Military Academy. He continued his education as a student of the 19th class of higher school of the Military Academy. He was fluent in French and German.
He was married twice. His first marriage was with Stana, daughter of Marijan Birčan, a merchant and a member of Parliament from Valjevo. From 1924 he was married to Sofija, daughter of Venceslav Hođera, a merchant from Niš. He had four sons: Mirko, Miloš, Žarko and Pavle.
